Wish i could relax, every christmas i get stressed, this year we havn't even got anyone coming over but i still feel stressed.

Worried that i might have bought more for one dd than the other, worried the turkey wont be big enough to feed us on boxing day, worried i havn't got enough food, stressing as dd2 is poorly and cant even get herself of the sofa, worried she wont be well enough to enjoy christmas day.

Please tell me all will be fine?

Empathy. Just compiled a to-do list from hell.

It will be alright - your turkey will be big enough, your dd's won't notice any inequality between gifts & I hope your little girl feels better today!

Merry christmas Xmas Smile !

Thank you Grin

Dd1 has made me a list, turkey is in the oven (so i dont have to cook it tomorrow), dd1 is making a triffle, Dd2 is still asleep on the sofe (hopfully sleeping off whatever virus she has), dh is in bed out of my way and all is under control Smile.

Add the following to your "To Do" list.....
Breathe
Cup of tea once an hour (minimum)
Relax your shoulders and smile

Everything will be fine. I am pathetically relaxed this year having spent every other year in a complete tizz. If it isn't done yet then nobody will notice anyway. They will notice the grimacing ball of stress stomping around the kitchen though Xmas Grin

Your not the only one, I'm doing christmas for the first time (usually at my parents) I have already been told I've ruined it for my sister as she is begrudgingly coming as well.

Damn phone - posted too soon!

Did a tiny shop this morning for cream, milk, croissants, parsnips and shallots. It came to over £90!! Panic buying alcohol, a few extra presents.

Major tizz here - verging on hysteria. DD1 has a temp of 39 and has just brushed toothpaste through her hair, DS is hammering some toy, I am trying to feed baby DD2, bed piled high in laundry to be sorted, due at in laws in 40 mins And DH still in town doing last minute shopping, haven't even got round to putting breakfast things in dishwasher yet.

Wild- you sound like my double (child with a high temp, washing on the bed, toothpaste in hair) Grin.

Dd2 was asking for ice lollies so i thought i would pop to Asda and get some (bad idea as it was manic) ended up buying more food. Dd2 seems to have perked up after i gave her a magazine but isn't eating or drinking.

I have got the turkey cooked, some of the veg preped, triffle made (by dd1) but the dd's are still in pj's.
