Rib of beef with bone-in, what size?

I think it's roughly about a kilo a bone (ish!) - I'd go for a minimum 2 bones portion, so somewhere around the 2/2.5kg mark, should be plenty...

tbh, we will often get 3 bones-worth for 2 plus a 5 year old, but we're a) greedy, and B) love roast beef leftovers, in sandwiches, pie etc

It's £7.99/kg in Tesco or £8.99/kg in our butchers.

I've not used him for a roasting joint before but his brisket, shin, chuck steak, minced beef and chicken breasts have all been fine.

It says here to allow 350g per person so think we will go for 1.5kg-2kg to be sure.
