I am at a total loss as to what to buy him! He is 41yo, has 3 children so no time to himself! Doesn't play any sport now (used to coach a under 10's football team until his ds left the team last season). Works full time in an office.

In the past we have got him vouchers for days out/experiences etc but I think this year/next he will be pushed for time to actually use the voucher. He doesn't drink much so a nice bottle of something isn't worth it.

The only thing left is smellies, and I don't think that is very inspiring I'm afraid!

Any suggestions would be gratefully recieved!!

Does he cook? If so, a swanky knife, nice oil etc etc
Like coffee? Then erm, some coffee! Or if he ha a takeaway coffee habit at work, some Costa (or whatever) vouchers?

Like music/film? Maybe iTunes or Love Film vouchers?

Personal massager? If he works in an office and has 3 kids and no time to himself he could probably use one! You can get those homedics shiatsu ones that just sit in your chair and do your back... I'd love one.

Nice leather gloves? Cuff links, a photo shoot voucher for the family?

Frostyfoxy · 10/12/2012 11:11

I like your thinking Skink! I am sure you are right, if he had time to sit of course!! Grin

Hazel, he does cook but has a decent set of knives, like the ITune/love film voucher ideas though.

Penguinbeaver - they have loads of photo shoots done as the children have been growing up.

See what I mean about fidning dead ends at each thought??!!

Just read on another thread about Graze boxes! Might do this if I can persuade his wife not to eat them before he gets home from work!!

Or, what about 'things he liked as a kid'. SO just a load of treasures in a box. might be treaty as he has no time to himself to recreate childhood? Things as silly as: chocolate bar, a satsuma (if you always had one), an annual, dvd of favourite kids' tv show, can of tizer (or whatever...) etc. So a shameless nostalgic wallow, basically.

Frostyfoxy · 10/12/2012 12:35

Now I like that idea Hazel!!! Fab!! Thank you! Grin

Hurrah! I always feel nostalgic at Xmas, and I love to buy or receive loads of little treasures, so the 2 together = winner!

neverquitesure · 10/12/2012 17:43

I have just stolen Hazel's idea for my DB. Thanks!

HazeltheMcWitch · 10/12/2012 18:02

Double hurrah!!

Now, what are you putting in, so I can steal back some inspiration?

neverquitesure · 10/12/2012 18:11

List so far...

Roland Rat Annual (thank you Amazon marketplace)
Pinky & The Brain DVD (may have to borrow this one!)
Lots & lots of retro sweets. We have a lovely old fashioned sweet shop in a nearby town that should fill that remit.
