Kitchen Aid or Kenwood? Which model?

As above. Am compiling my Christmas list - my family thrive on specific instructions, & my parents have money to burn, the chances are good Grin. Which is better though?

It's cheaper but Iove my kenwood prospero - we don't have huge amounts of worktop space so I like that it can do everything all in one. If I had the money and space though I'd want a magimix and a kitchenaid Grin

I have a Kitchen Aid and Magimix. Love, love, love them.

I love my Kenwood, can't remember the exact model but I bought it from QVC a few years ago along with loads of attachments (haven't actually used the attachments yet though lol!). It's great for mixing cakes, egg whites, cream etc. You get a standard (K) beater for general mixing, a balloon whisk for egg whites etc and also a dough hook.

My in-laws never bought us a wedding present and promised us one at a later date. We sent them off two links last week, one to a K-Mix and one to a KitchenAid artisan. They have bought one and it will be with us shortly. I have my fingers tightly crossed for the KitchenAid.

I have a Kmix and love it. As dancergirl said it came with a k beater, balloon whisk and dough hook but for me the reason it wins out over the kitchenaid is that the mixing bowl has a lid (with a flap to add ingredients whilst still mixing if required) which stops the dry ingredients becomming a dust cloud and wet ingredients from splashing out. Of course the lid is removable if you prefer not to use it but having used a Kitchenaid in the past (with work) it was incredibly frustrating to measure out ingredients and then have them end up out of the bowl. I also love that mine is stripey too and looks lovely standing on my worktop Xmas Grin

I have a K-mix which I got a couple of weeks ago by using the Tesco Clubcard exchange - used up a year's worth of vouchers but still a result! I really rate it, it is a very solid piece of kit and far more powerful than my previous mixer. The cover is excellent and the bits store nicely inside the bowl. Have never used a Kitchen-Aid only lusted after one so can't compare.

Kitchenaid no contest. Looks fantastic & will last a lifetime. I got the apple green one for DH 3 Xmas ago & he loved it

I have a Kenwood Chef and are really pleased with it. It has K beaters which scrape as they beat to ensure nothing left on side of bowl and also has a lid to stop flour going everywhere when you add it.

I had an ancient Kenwood I'd bought off ebay and this one is so much better. In fact, when making cakes I don't even bother creaming butter and sugar, just add everything in together, blitz it and cook it. Its great for kneading bread also (make sure you read instructions though - good way to burn out a motor if you push it too hard)

I bought myself a KitchenAid earlie this year after umming & ahing for ages & I love it - it also looks lovely on the counter top & I really dislike having stuff out on show.
