I've been inspired (by a post on Pintrest) to come up with some random acts to spread Christmas cheer to others in my community.

So the Pintrest post had acts such as paying for the person behind you in Starbucks, leave a lottery ticket on somebody's windscreen, donating unwanted food in the cupboards to a local food bank, donating a gift to a child in need. There was 12 things in total for the twelve days of Christmas.

Up to now I've thorght of a few ideas which I'd like to share with you. I would love to here what others do too.

Bake cupcakes one day for the staffroom
Buy a child a gift and ask ds's school to make sure it reaches a good home. (School is in an area of high deprivation)
Make up a small treat hamper for elderly neighbours.
Buy the Big Issue seller a hot drink
Buy a lucky dip for the person behind me in the queue
food donation to the food bank
Do a clothes cull for the charity shop

I want to take a new toy to a local children's home. I'm going to make a donation to the hospice and I'm thinking of switching my regular direct debits to bigger charities there too.

Hadn't really thought about actual face-to-face acts of kindness, bit I like the idea.

ineed I've never really thorght of it either, but to think you could really make somebody's day for as little as a pound :)

whistlingwaves that is so lovely. My dcs made friends with a family seeking asylum who would have had very little for christmas if it wasn't for people in the community giving them gifts. I used to buy all five children a gift to put under their tree. I prefared this than giving to the local toy appeal.

Today as I went into Tesco the food bank were asking for donations, so I bought an extra bag of tins and packet food. :)
