My friend has 6 children so was thinking of getting a family present rather than individual ones.

She has boy - turns 1 on 30th December
girl - 21 months
boy - 4.11
boy - 5.5
boy - 8.5
boy - 10.6

budget?

gregssausageroll · 30/11/2012 13:24

Someone posted on the bargains thread last night about a cinema deal for families. It is £20. Might not cover 6 kids but it might be possible to buy 2 of the deals for the entire family?

Either that or a couple of DVD's popcorn (you can buy the cinema style popcorn holders on ebay), juice, chocolate and may be pick n mix.

Memebership to something local? Local animal park or sealife centre?

I was going to suggest dvds and a bag or two of sweets and popcorn too.

Taffeta · 30/11/2012 14:23

DVD and a tin of Heroes

healstorturepeople · 30/11/2012 15:34

A board game for the 4 boys. Something little for the other 2.

Might do a cinema hamper. DVD, microwave popcorn, popcorn holders, tin of haribo. Any special soft drinks that look fun and appealing rather than your normal lemonade/tango?

M&S had bottles of rhubarb and custard and other sweet flavoured pop in the summer, not sure if they're still doing them

DS brought home some Christmas ruby red Fanta the other day - it has berry juice in and is delicious. Or J2O are doing drinks with edible glitter in.

Cinema hamper is such a lovely idea.

Rasberry Cream soda would be something different if your friend doesn't mind them having fizzy juice - my kids prefer getting Yazoo or similar milk shake as a treat - they are currently in love with Alpro Soya strawberry milkshake cartons.

Could I also suggest some astronaut ice cream?

nappyaddict · 30/11/2012 20:51

Ooooh where does one find astronaut ice cream?

Found it

What do you think is better popcorn snack bowl or individual holders

OP posts:
amck5700 · 30/11/2012 21:20

Id get the individual - cheap here:

www.ebay.co.uk/itm/8-cardboard-popcorn-boxes-RETRO-red-white-stripe-perfect-for-themed-parties-/360497724432?pt=UK_Home_Garden_Celebrations_Occasions_ET&hash=item53ef56bc10&_uhb=1

because it saves arguments about who is eating fastest/the most!!

amck5700 · 30/11/2012 21:25

you could even include a popcorn maker if the budget would stretch:

nappyaddict · 30/11/2012 21:39

Do you think you could reuse the card ones or not?

OP posts:
amck5700 · 30/11/2012 21:54

possibly, it would depend on what type of popcorn - if its salty or buttery then unlikely but sure sweet would be okay - if you buy the non disposable then the person has to find somewhere to keep them and I'd imagine with 6 kids, cupboard space may be at a premium and I would think that they are not suitable for dishwashing so that would be a no for me as I don't do dishes :o

nappyaddict · 30/11/2012 21:56

Think I will get this

amck5700 · 30/11/2012 22:05

that looks a good deal :)

BabysPointlessPocket · 01/12/2012 00:12

nappyaddict · 01/12/2012 10:22
