teehee Penguin!

Apparently not Aspie Wink

Gutted I missed the lego police station on Toysrus, I wonder if they get them back in?

oreocrumbs · 02/12/2012 20:14

Who can tell me about Hot Wheels and 4 yr old boys? At long last have been told what to get the last child I need to buy for, and its "something to do with Hot Wheels"!

I want to spend upto but preferably under £10.

Doesn't help that I have bought his sisters a great bargain present so their's will look quite impressive - his should too hopefully!

Penguinbeaver · 02/12/2012 20:31

Oreo is Paddingon £4.98 on Play? I can't seem to see him at that price??

janji · 02/12/2012 20:33

Marking place

timeforachangebaby · 02/12/2012 20:39

penguin, Play is playing up, it took me a few goes to get it but it worked in the end (through quidco of course)

oreocrumbs · 02/12/2012 20:41

Yes it's on Play, but I've just gone on and the page won't show.

If you put Paddington into the search box, the first item it brings up is the dvd case at £15.49.

You need to click on that and then on the right hand side of the page will be a list of alternative sellers - the first one has it for £4.99.

Only problem is the at the moment Play has gone on strike and wont open up further than the initial search results Confused.

timeforachangebaby · 02/12/2012 20:42

Hot wheels is crap and falls apart all the time, the DCs love it but its still crap, none the less if you google there are lots of offers out there.

this is fun though, it clamps to the window sil

oreocrumbs · 02/12/2012 20:50

Thanks timeforachangebaby! I imagine they are one of those presents that are a waste of money - but if that is what he wants, that is what I shall get.

My brain can't cope with any more decisions, and it has been like pulling teeth, getting that one suggestion from his mum!

timeforachangebaby · 02/12/2012 20:54

Dont get me wrong, I have bought hot wheels stuff, I just hate how flimsy it is and them I still waste my money on it

Folicacid · 02/12/2012 20:54

I've kinda lost the thread of this thread, but need to get the shopping finished so back to trawl through Thanks to everyone who is contributing!

oreocrumbs · 02/12/2012 20:58

I've got Play to work again, but Paddington isn't listed at the low price anymore Xmas Sad. It must have been updating the page when it was down.

Cinders22 · 02/12/2012 21:15

I don't suppose anyone could let me know if they have seen Moshi Monsters HQ for less than £25? I saw it a few weeks ago for £20 but it seems to have gone up in price everywhere.

Re the hot wheels we have 2 sets that fit to the wall which are really good and have not fallen to pieces at all. We have the basic wall track set and the motorised tower set both of which have stayed put (so far!).

MooseyMoo · 02/12/2012 21:22

Just bought Snowflakes, star led lights and berry light garland from Lakeland. Should have been £32 but used EK11 and got £5 off and free delivery. Must be a glitch as you only get free delivery if you spend over £30.

oreocrumbs · 02/12/2012 21:40

Cinders, Amazon are out of stock at the moment, but since October it was selling between £22 and £18.74. (you can buy it from a 3rd part seller atm for £25).

So it might be worth keeping an eye out for the next few days to see if they get it back in stock and sell it at the lower price again.

If you add it to your wish list you will be able to see when it's price changes.

The other place I saw it cheaper is John Lewis at £21.something. But that too is out of stock online. Might be worth giving them a ring if you have a store near to see if they have any instore to buy.

oreocrumbs · 02/12/2012 21:43

Asda Have 25% off Nativity costumes using code nativity25 (all lower case). Only valid today. Free click and collect.

leesmum · 02/12/2012 21:48

Anyone got any good codes for Very? Seen a good deal on a TV and was hoping i could save a couple more ££££'s

zipzap · 02/12/2012 21:51

oreo crumbs - could you just get lots of cars, rather than any of the flimsy bits that are tracks etc. as the cars themselves are fine as cars go, it's all the other bits that seem to be so badly made... You can often get quite good sets of cars for about a fiver (or less than a couple of quid in sainsburys if you hit them just right - unfortunately suspect that won't be until after christmas now...)

On the other hand - if you have any slight gripes with the mum - get one of the hot wheels things that needs water in it to do it's thing - there are some where if they go through water they change colour or something - boy will love it, mum will hate it and you'll never be asked to buy hotwheels stuff again Xmas GrinXmas Grin

ShoopShoop · 02/12/2012 21:59

On the Trunki website they have a flash sale on PaddlePaks. £15 for Shark or Killer Whale and £10 for Flo or Bob.

Postage is £3.05 but you do get 10% cash back through Quidco.

Would make a lovely present for a toddler IMO. Just got Flo for DD to go with Penelope who I got when Zulily had their offers on :)

www.trunki.co.uk

The website says it is today only but not sure how true this is

Cinders22 · 02/12/2012 22:07

Thanks Oreo, I did not know how the wishlish worked on Amazon so I am off to investigate now.

oreocrumbs · 02/12/2012 22:18

zipzap, the mum is one of my best friends, I love her dearly.

Therefore an annoying water based present would be right up my street Xmas Wink.

Off to investigate Grin.

I am now trying to make a nice stationary set for a 5 y old boy, I am thinking secret notebook and funky pen. Any idea (even full price for a change?). Budget around £10. Thanks a lot for your help
