Just beware that the tins in Sainsbury's are the slightly smaller ones... I've seen the bigger ones for a fiver in Coop...

ninja · 28/11/2012 20:00

Don't get Moon Dough (unless for a relative you really want to annoy (grin) )

silver28 · 28/11/2012 20:09

Oh no, is moon dough really that bad? DS has had moon sand Whigs was bloody awful but I thought moon dough might be better (more like play dough?) so got him the snack shop set for Xmas (v cheap thankfully). If it's that bad i might have to cull it from the mahoosive pile of his presents.

izzyishavingababyAGAIN · 28/11/2012 20:13

.

Oodthunkit · 28/11/2012 20:17

.

LaTrucha · 28/11/2012 20:18

we love Moon Dough, but you need to put newspaper down. We love Moon Sand too. I have very little ones so we hoover a lot anyway.

silver28 · 28/11/2012 20:34

The moon sand was distressing (for me) because DS mixed the colours up (aargh!). DH got posses off with bits dropping on the floor so tipped it all into the sand pit after a week Grin

Is moon dough like play dough? If so I can cope with that (as long as DS obeys the rules about not mixing colours!).

silver28 · 28/11/2012 20:35

(I have v little ones too - 4yo and 11m - but don't Hoover very much, just live in a permanent state of grubbiness.)

ninja · 28/11/2012 20:48

Moon dough feels lovely, it's really soft, but it gets everywhere! It's impossible to keep the colours separate if you're using 2 of them as it breaks apart easily.

mercibucket · 28/11/2012 21:02

Sylvanian families furniture sets currently reduced on amazon. I don't follow the prices so I'm not sure if they're reduced from an inflated price, but looked good value

LaTrucha · 28/11/2012 21:28

You have to harrass your children relentelessly in order for colours to remain separate.

cazza2878 · 28/11/2012 21:39

I hate moon dough, vile stuff!

Feel guilty that pre having my own child, I unwittingly inflicted this on friends who I bought it was presents for their children. They were probably cursing me!

neverquitesure · 28/11/2012 21:53

OhTheConfusion · 28/11/2012 23:18

Thanks Chockywockydoodah (seriously funny name), I saved almost £20 with parcel force tonight... mind you it still cost me a whopping £56.70 to send six packages Hmm

izzyishavingababyAGAIN · 28/11/2012 23:20

you should be using collectplus, they are so much cheaper, its only £3.49 for up to 10kg if the recipient is willing to collect from a local store

OhTheConfusion · 28/11/2012 23:43

Oh Izzy I wish I had known. They would have gladly collected them too Sad

izzyishavingababyAGAIN · 28/11/2012 23:48

if you have done it online, then you can cancel!

Its worth bearing them in mind, I use them if I buy on ebay now, I email seller and ask them if they will use collectplus, send me an invoice for zero postage and an email address so I can send them a label - no one has said no - I have saved a fortune this way.

For most sellers its easier than waiting for a courier.

DD had a monkey from a couple of years ago but he got eaten lost! So plesed they are doing them again!

I appreciate not everyone will be as excited as me, but its not a bad little stocking filler.
