Would like to watch this with my ds ( 5 )but does it spoil anything in terms of Father Christmas?

Hope this message isn't too vague!

It's a great film & doesn't spoil anything Grin

ChristmasCountdown · 20/11/2012 21:09

Not at all. Saw it at the cinema last year with DS (3 at the time) and will be watching it on Christmas Eve this year. Can't wait! Grin

I saw it with my (then) 3yo and 8yo last Christmas.
It was lovely and didn't spoil a thing.

I think it gave my 8yo some ideas on how Santa might use technology to get things done, which actually made it all more believable for her because it fitted in with her experience of life and how the world works. But she likes the Norad tracking thing too.

It's a lovely film. Polar Express is good as well.

MrsBungleBear · 20/11/2012 21:16

I thought it was brilliant. A very modern Santa! My 2.5 year old loved it last year and we will be watching it again this year.

Nope took DS who was 5 last year it was good - a different take on it - not a spolier at all.

ConfusedandBemused · 21/11/2012 12:39

Brilliant and doesn't spoil anything! Does anybody know if Polar Express spoils anything or brings up the topic of not believing in Santa!

CaseyShraeger · 21/11/2012 12:57

Polar Express does bring up the idea of not believing as you get older (those who stop believing lose the ability to hear the magicc sleighh bells) but comes down firmly on the side of belief.

Thanks again everyone.
Control freak that I am, I'm really jittery this year as Ds is really enjoying the concept of Christmas ( both religious and about santa) but has older relations and I'm worried about where their conversations may go.....
