15 year old girl - I'm stuck!

Hello. I looking for inspiration for my nearly 15 year old niece. She is more Jack Wills/Superdry than Top Shop in style. What do girls her age like? I thought about nice Paperchase/Cath Kidston bits but I don't know if she would find that a bit young. I want to steer clear of make up. Jewellery a possibility. Budget £25. Any ideas?

My 16yo DSD likes Starbucks, so I thought of a loaded Starbucks card. Then another (v clever) MN (sorry can't remember name) added on another thread, to team the giftcard with a starbucks mug, hot choc sachet and a starbucks gold choc coin and present in cellophane - lovely little gift bag.

Was it me? We do Starbucks vouchers and coin etc every year for our two now and have done it for their friends before too. I think it's a great gift, as it gives them something to open and something to use and they love going off for coffee with their friends, which we'd be funding anyway! Any ideas for what to put it in other than a mug though, as we now have more than enough mugs?!

I noticed yesterday that Boots have a number of 'teen friendly' perfumes at around the fifteen pounds mark, including Kate Moss and a Tommy Hilfiger one both of which are quite light.

Another thing which I've found goes down well with dds is fairy lights for their bedroom.

Would teenage girls like a funky photo frame ( , which is what I am thinking of buying) or are photo frames a bit old hat now as people have digital cameras and never print out photos?

bruffin · 11/11/2012 17:07

Packs of American or Japanese sweets.also go down well.

makinglemonade · 11/11/2012 17:58

Hollister is a good idea and if she likes superdry then she'll like these. Also love those ear muffs that where linked earlier.

Almost wish I was buying Christmas pressies this year as so many good ideas on here!

My general rule of thumb for girls over 5 is something that's just slightly too old for them always goes down well. But then I'm not their mother so I get away with it Wink

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 11/11/2012 18:49

So it's gin for the 15 year olds then? :)

Talking of American sweets - I did a gift last year that involved all of the different Reese's Peanut Butter types. That went down well (and I'd rather like one for myself too!).

DameFanny · 11/11/2012 19:47

Absolutely Remus Grin

Or just looking at what 17 and 18 year Olds are wearing and finding an acceptable but of that...

everydayaschoolday · 12/11/2012 06:45

Hi Remus yes I think I got the starbucks idea from you. That's a great gift idea and definately will be used by recipient.

I would have beenpretty pissed off if someone had gotten me a bottle of Britney Spears perfume when I was 15.

How about a Benefit voucher or something similar?

autumnfrost · 12/11/2012 09:50

I agree Britney Spears is passe.Does she like foxes owl etc that are in fashion just now? Etsy have some great stuff
