Recommend me a family board game!

When I was little, we had a board game every Christmas for the whole family. Now my DS is 3 I'd like to reinstate the tradition. It has to be something he can enjoy (even with lots of help) - everyone else on Xmas day will be grown up (me, parents, DB and SIL) so hopefully something we can all play together which isn't too boring for the adults. Any inspiration appreciated!

I've never seen Pass the Bomb before but having looked it up, it's perfect for my DS's so thanks for the idea!

uno is a card game but our boys played it with help from about 3

DS is 3 and I'm starting to get him board games; I'm a twin and DSis and I always got one between us at Christmas DH's family cheated like anything and now he won't play them so I need to work on him as well

This Christmas I'm getting pop-up pirates and misfits. I've got Buckaroo stashed but think his co-ordination might not be good enough yet and he'd get frustrated if the thing keeps bucking. I also looked at hungry hippos and an old copy of Mr Pop on EBay, as I think he'd love these, but again I think it'll be better for next birthday.

Avoid the modern version of Mr Pop though - it's evil. Why would you buy this for children? [hshock]

Some more great ideas, thanks! I think we'll try pass the bomb and frustration, they look great. and will get an Orchard Puzzle for him and a bottle of gin for us in case it doesn't work out [hwink]

Not strictly a board game, but what about dominoes? Ds2 (now 4) adores it, and played it a lot last Christas when he would have been 3.

Guess Who (Asda do a much cheaper own version) and Connect 4 also popular here although a 3 yo might need to do it in a team with someone else.

I was about to say Pass the Bomb JUNIOR too. Adult pass the bomb is much too hard.
The junior version has a card with a picture that says something like "At the shops" you then have to say something you would find at the shops before passing the bomb. If you're holding when the bomb goes off you lose a life. Even very young children can play it with help and once they've gone to bed it makes a very good drinking game. We have lots of games but this one is universally popular.

Angry Birds. Really IT IS a "real " game as well as an app.
