Looking for easyish ideas which my girls can help to make for teachers, brownie/rainbow leaders etc. Last year we made pipecleaner fairies which went down well, but some of the TAs are the same so wanting something similar, but different!

Christmas cookie tree decorations :) Yummy and pretty :)

Those look great but was looking for something more lasting, the teachers last year told the dc that they would look at them each year and remember them. The teachers may have chucked them but for my dc the important thing was that they think they will enjoy them!

I can make super easy origami tree decorations with very very simple folds, but google is not my friend and I can't find an easy "bauble" shape instruction online. Erm, sorry. Have a bump instead.

Paper garlands?

We made some star and xmas tree shaped decorations out of flour and water and salt. We baked them, then painted them plus added glitter (prepare yourself for one hell of a mess), then sprayed them with something which made them clear and made sure the glitter stayed put.

They got hung from our tree and looked quite nice, a bit like the ones that 3duracellbunnies has a pic of. But not edible. Though the dog ate two whilst they were drying and was violently sick, but that's another story - dumb dog Grin

They are in our christmas box, assume they will still be in one piece when it comes out of the loft again...

How old are the dds?
How about cutting two hearts out of red felt and get them to sew them together with white emroidery thread. Pad out with a little stuffing and thread a ribbon loop through. I marked out a simple (snowflake) patern on the felt and the dds did simple stiching before assebling them.
Not sure I've explained it well but the result was pretty!

These are lovely star decorations, and require only paper squares. I did them last year and they were really effective.
