Help! Stocking ideas for 21 month old DD2

Help!, I'm trying to get the stockings done and dusted so can budget for there main gift and days out.

I have DS done Grin all thanks to the entertainers sale Wink
DD1 (12) I have plenty of ideas, but DD2 is impossible! I only have one thing, a plastic egg shape sorter. She really isn't one for toys. But I can't not get her anything! Happy land is out as DS has nearly all of them, and she doesn't seem interested anyway. Between them, they have most of the night garden, peppa pig ect toys. And the only tv show she likes is the wiggles anyway! she will be 21mnths come Christmas.

And they all have quite big stockings to fill and get one main gift each Xmas morning and a few shared games in the afternoon.

Also need ideas for a great Xmas story to share with dd2 and DS (5) Christmas eve. We have the usual suspects ( grinch, NBC, gruffalo) any ideas?

Christmas eve story is the night before christmas here. It will be every year. Do you have the jolly christmas postman? If you can track it down that will be a good one. I couldn't get it last year so I'm hoping I will be able to this year.

My DD will be 2.4, smallish gifts I'm thinking about are jigsaws, hair stuff (bobbles etc), dressing up stuff - jewelry, doctors kit, fairy wings, colouring/craft stuff.

Does she have threading beads, a little train track, push along cars/animals, a till, play food/tea set, jack in the box?

What about a few story books, cute slippers or PJs or a snuggle buddies pillow?

my dd (4) gets excited about a new character toothbrush, an expanding flannel (poundstrecher etc for about 99p?), small bath toys/squirters, character socks (I bought hello Kitty this year), silly joke stuff like google-eye plastic glasses, small soft toy. Our stockings are small so just knick-nack tat and a packet of sweets.

But I also have a (medium) sack sack to fill which I have got a couple of ELC games (some reduced from £12 to £6 at the moment), books, moon dough set (not everyones cup of tea), Octonauts figurines & bedding set etc.

We also do The Night Before Christmas for our Christmas Eve story. Redhouse had lots of lovely christmas books on the run up to the festive season that I stocked up on last year (Mog's Christmas, Kipper's Christmas Eve, Panta Clause (Alien's Love Underpants) etc.

Dds older now but when they were 2....
I usually put a pack of new knickers and vests in - with their favourite character on. Pom poms were a big hit one year, I always put a teddy or something cuddly poking out of the top of the stocking. I tend to go for stuff that is fun but also useful like the knickers, hello kitty toothbrush, magic character flannel, character bubble bath, character bath toy, hair clips, pencils, stickers, chocolate coins! In this way the stocking stuff gets absorbed back into the house quickly iyswim! I also once got them one of those magic worms which they loved - you know the ones on invisible string - a big hit! Thanks for all the ideas! I think given her age, she's going to be more interested in opening the gift and not notice what they are (prob last year I'll be able to get away with it ;) so am going with a few books and socks and hair things and just one big soft toy from Disney, that way I'm not buying similar to what we already have floating around the house.
I'm starting to realise my kids have to much tat, this year I'd rather spend on days out and activitys.
