Argh. What can I buy my brother?

Decorations up, tree looking gorgeous, food ordered, PJs ready, most presents home-made and wrapped, but... what the heck can I buy my brother?

It shouldn't be that hard. He's very 'normal'. Aged 31. Teacher. Very stylish. Recently moved in with his GF (also a teacher, also v stylish) I usually buy him smart but simple clothes (a scarf, PJ bottoms, shirt, wallet) but seem to have 'run out' (don't want to repeat presents iyswim)

I've got him an umbrella. I know he needs one, but, well, YAWN! Any inspiration for what else I could get, preferably costing £15 or less?

Does he have a Wii? Am thinking of getting a daft game for my bro.

Alternatively get him the Frozen Planet Book or Downton Abbey on DVD

(or Outnumbered which is what I have got dh!)

Lovely pen? Notebook? Photo frame or something for house if just moved in? Ooooh bottle opener!

ATruthFestivelyAcknowledged · 21/12/2011 21:10

Hahah. I had to google it, but you know what? He might like that.

I should have added 'loves animals, but can't have one as he lives in a fourth floor city centre flat', but clearly you knew that already!

Men like toys. Have bought my bro Lego this year (he is 34)

and my dad has got a wind up tin motorcycle toy

Ooops, X posted.

No Wii or other consoles, he'd probably think I was joking if I bought Downton (silly boy!) but Outnumbered (or maybe Inbetweeners?) might work. Photo frame's a good idea. I've just had a DS, who he adores, so I could get one of those frames that takes loads of photos and put in some prints of him and GF, some of LO and leave some free for his GF him to fill. Pen/notebook would be wasted on him. He'd lose them!

Keep the ideas coming! You're inspiring me!

A big jar of retro type sweets! I got one from eBay with next day delivery. Choc nibbles, my 26yr old brother will LOVE it! Grin

A wine cooler or chiller.

I've bought my brother a lovely travel wallet for his passport etc and a Moleskine Passions travel journal set but I'm not sure they would be your DB's cuppa tea?

sunshineoutdoors · 22/12/2011 17:22

a half bottle of decent whisky/whiskey?
