It's on her list (which is pretty short in itself) and anyone who asks gets told that's what she wants. I've looked everywhere but to no avail. I really don't want to let her down. Any suggestions?

Rosie? She's from the Thomas range. Comes in purple. Belle is the new fire engine style one blue with a hose. Molly is yellow with a nice face.

Thanks! She already has a substantial Thomas set. Am kicking myself now as I try to work out how to get all those engines so late in the day. Will I ever learn not to be so last minute!?!?

Where are you based? I know that Steam in Swindon sell Rosie in their gift shop, and I should think other railway museums would too. You could call any steam railways vaguely close and see if they have them.

PinkCanary · 21/12/2011 09:57

Thanks. There are three steam railways near me in the north west. Just hard work keeping it secret when I'm with DD 24/7. Will text DH and suggest he does it... :-D

Have just tried ordering for store collection on house of Frazier but site keeps sending me round in a loop. Grrrr. Is not my day today.

Toys r us used to do a pink wooden train set, not sure if they still do it though (was a few years ago).

2kidsintow · 21/12/2011 11:16

I was going to recommend that too (pink set from Toysrus) as my DD loved it at that age too. Compatible with brio. Nice compact set with lots of extras. Was £30 when I bought it. No longer seems to be available though.

Thomas trains including Rosie are often available at those model shops, you know the kind that sell all kind of collectables, grown-up train track etc.

MrsPlugThePlumber · 21/12/2011 13:20

You could also check eBay and see if there's one local to you that you could pick up...?

If you don't have your heart set on Rosie, the Lego Howarts Express fits on Lego tracks (though you need to buy them separately. Very expensive, but it might count as girly.
