My mum is fab and also very thoughtful and good at doing presents and I'm putting as much thought into her gift as she does to others, but thinking is all I can manage! I'm out of ideas for her. I know she doesn't want us to spend money on her and would hate to think of us spending loads, she said a £5 pair of slippers is all she wants, but I'm looking for something maybe about £40 but would go more/less for the right thing.
I got her nice slippers and I got her this for her birthday which she loves as she went to catering college out of school and also is a very good host so for Christmas I got her a mini pie recipe book but it was only a few pounds in tk maxx so I'd like to get her something as a 'main' gift.
To be honest she would love and appreciate anything I get her but would like it to be something she's love and be especially pleased with.
My fall back plan is nice bath/body stuff, maybe joe malone/molton brown/origins type thing. But that seems so generic, I'd like to find something more her.
She is 53, she's a great host and likes baking (but has so much stuff for this already it's hard to find anything new) also jamie Oliver, watching tennis, particularly Andy Murray! She has her own business which is quite tying and makes me buying her days out/tickets very tricky. She loves teal/aqua colours but I've previously bought her a bag and jewelery this colour.
Her birthday is in the new year and I'm gettting a pendant engraved for her and hopefully a birthday card signed from Andy Murray! For Christmas my dad is getting her a pic of us 'kids' (23, 27 and 28) and what was my idea that I stupidly gave to him of vouchers for Jamie Oliver's restaurant which I know she will love.
So any mum's out there that have an idea or anything great you have got for your mum's/mil?
