The only reason i ask is that i had assumed ds who is 7 still believed as I had bribed his 19 year old ds,15 year old ds and 13 year old bd that this was the case and to be fair they've gone along with this. I think it made it more exciting for them if they still had to keep up the pretence for him. Today at school I bumped into his childminder who we have been with the for the past 15 years who said she was very sorry but a parent had made a complaint against my 7 year old in that he had told one of his class mates who she looks after that there was no such thing as Father Christmas. whilst i appreciate its nice if they still believe i was a little taken aback. With my older children it was others that told them there was no Santa and whilst i was alittle peeved I would never have complained about it because at the end of the day after speaking to my ds that he shouldnt spoli it for others he feels that grown ups have told fibs about Santa andhe just feels he's telling thetruth and mainly I cant believe that I've potentially fell out with my wonderful childminder about something so ridiculous!

When DD's were nine, a friend sent me a joke form from Santa that children had to fill in. It was laid out like a job or college application form and had questions like 'on a scale of 1-10, have you been good this year', and also 'what is the diameter of your chimney' - I gave it to them to fill in.
They considered the matter very carefully, and filled it in absolutely seriously. One said that they were not sure whether he was real or not, but it was better to be on the safe side.

OMG mine were much younger than 9 yo.
I think DS was 6 or 7 yo. The next door neighbour DD told him.
I asked him not to spill his new-found knowledge to his sister.

I honestly can't believe children still seriously believe in Father Christmas.
Mine go along with it (for their bebfit) and keep the magic alive but they've known since an early age.
