Two teenage girls - around £10

I have two teenage girls to buy for - haven't seen them, sadly, since last Christmas. Sisters, 15 and 13z. The 15 year old has SEN and is similar to a 2 yo in ability and interests. 13 yo is quite 'young', horsey, sheltered. I often get clothes, used to get games and toys when I lived nearer and saw them more often. Harder when I don't see them, so don't know what they like anymore. Last year was cupcake money boxes.

Any ideas please?

Nail varnish, hair accesories.

Yes, maybe hair stuff - where do 13 year olds shop? Is Claire's Accessories too young?. I don't suppose they're allowed nail varnish.

Lots of 3 for 2's on make-up brands in Boots, and some also have free gifts if you buy x items or spend £x (one was £15 for a freebie). Nail varnish, lip gloss, mascara all good.

DVD's? The SEN teen may like some of the Pixar DVD's and there are loads of new titles out at the moment.

DVD a brilliant idea. I know she used to love things like 'Cats and Dogs'. What's been good recently? I'm a bit out of touch with kids films. I'll try Boots I think for the younger girl. She must be allowed to 'play' with make up at home, even if not allowed out in it!

Was going to suggest exactly the same thing - I bought my teenage niece nail varnish/lip gloss from Boots with their 3 for 2 offer. Also think Pixar DVDs are a great idea as most of their films entertain all ages!

Good animated films: any Shrek, Ice-Age, Happy Feet.

What about The Polar Express for a great Christmassy themed film?

Maybe I'll get 'Up' as I think their mum would like it too. What's 'tangled' like? Looking forward to a Boots trip now too. Maybe I could do a 'pamper hamper' to share, with bath stuff, make up and the DVDs.

Mine are beyond those too! Mr Poppers Penguins is out this week but no idea if it is any good!

Tangled??
DD watched Despicable Me last week and said it was funny - no idea what it is about though
Your best bet is to hit a Supermarket and see what is in their kids top 20...

Wilkinsons ahve got a great preteen makeup/bath stuff sets called Rebel I think. My DD (11) has got all her friend pressies from there and they are really reasonable

Mr Poppers penguins is fab, I'm 28 and my charges are 6, 10 and 12 and we all came out of the cinema saying how great it was.
