DH and I are only spending £15 on each other this year as it's DSs first Christmas so we are spending all our money on him

I have managed to get him new astro turf trainers for a bargainous £16, down from £60 but I haven't a clue what I want and I really need to give him some guidance or I'll end up with a bike saddle and collander again

What would you ask for? Give me some ideas please

Nice pair of M&S gloves £10
Box of thorntons £5

MamaPizzaChristmasToppings · 12/12/2011 08:35

£15 to spend on scrapbooking / crafting materials.

I also like chrimbly's suggestion of a good pair of gloves. Or a really snuggly, warm scarf.

Big box of Guylain chocs
A nice diary
A compact mirror

We have a lovely ethnic type shop who do just my kind of slightly hippy earrings for about that.

Theas18 · 12/12/2011 09:04

do you read books on laptop/kindle/phone app etc. at £10 amazon voucher would get you a lot of the cheaper kindle books (the kindle app is free ) plus of course all the free books. THat's an awful lot of enjoyment for a few quid if you like reading and don't mind a screen to do so.

I'm a yarnaholic knitter. £15 for me would mean a skein of the lovliest lace weight yarn to make myself a shawl/scarf. Brilliant to receive, great to knit up and ongoing happiness wearing it.

CaipirinhasAllRound · 12/12/2011 09:36

We have a £20 budget this year but it's my birthday next week too so I've already had to give DH suggestions for him to give to his very unimaginative family so I'm hoping he can cope with thinking of a £20 gift for me on his own.... Hmm

However I would love a book, some Sanctuary salt scrub, some Clarins cleanser or for us to get dressed up and go for a cocktail somewhere! (will probably get iTunes vouchers or something that doesn't require him leaving his laptop)

M&S slipper socks!
or baileys!:)

GlaikitFizzEggNog · 12/12/2011 11:05

Thank you everyone! I might just point him this way and let him decide!!

I'm not a knitter though so he would probably get the yarn! Grin

Neals yard bath stuff
Nice diary or notebook
Hotel chocolat chocs
Gloves
Books
Posh candle
Photo frame with family picture in
DVD

startail · 12/12/2011 12:12

Books are good
Music or audio book for making housework or traveling more fun.
A bottle of sloe gin or fizz
Some silly cheap pjs or a night shirt
A "I promise to hang up the washing last thing at night- Without moaning" Token!
This would defiantly be worth having.
After we've cooked the kitchen is warm and he can reach the line without a step and I can't. He can do this job in 3 minutes flat, so why moan for 5 minutes firstAngry
