Are any of those remote control helicopters any good for a 7yo.....?

Its just that DS saw them today and was smitten. My gut feeling is that it would break on impact on first use and result in tears.

Split on this one.

They can be great but take ages to get the hang of.

DS (adhd so very destructive) has actually managed to keep it in one piece so it's a winner from that point of view.

Helimission scored really high on gadget shows website. We got it last year for ds when he was 7 and it has lasted the year and still going strong, he plays with it regularly too. You could probably pick one up for £40 now.

I know!

It was the AirHogs one, which I thought wouldnt last 2 mintues as it looks so flimsey but it has! and it's taken a hell of a lot of knocks.

I just looked at reviews for the Air Hogs one and they do seem to be quite good for children so I've phoned my Mum and suggested she get that one for DS.
