Oh, and pork and potato free, but I don't see that being such and issueGrin

I have made biscotti the last few years but am bored of that, can't make fudge unless anyone has a dairy free option?

I can make things like candied irange peel but it's SUCH a faff I'd rather not if I don't have to...

TIA

could you do roasted nuts? Roasted honey nuts etc... Put them in a an attractive jar??

SquongebobSparepants · 27/11/2011 22:04

Grin at dust. It's ridiculous, my family and their bloody food fads (and some of them ARE fads. If you don't eat bread for 4 months, and then eat half a loaf in one sitting, you will feel like shit. This does not necessarily mean you are allergic to gluten ffs.

Is that not glace cherries? Can I buy some and put them in pretty jars then?Grin

Thanks, I can't do chutney as that is what mum always does, and most of them don't drink alcohol (the freaks)
I don't want to do baking stuff as I have done baking for the last few years but I like the idea of flavoured oil.
Hmm, shall havea thinky, thanks all

What about making some hot choc mix? There is a lovely recipe somewhere here that I plan to make with my son who is a coeliac and dairy free, for presents. Uses cocoa, grated choc which could be dark and dairy free, sugar, cardamom, nutmeg and something else.

Let me know if you're interested and I'll search and link it for you.

if you want to buy rather than make - 'booja booja' chocolate truffles, or icecreams are pretty yum, vair sophisticated imo (but expensive for what you get)

Turkish Delight? If it's not made with gelatine it's fine for vegan/muslim/jewish diets. You can even make it yourself.
