My daughter (4) says that for christmas she wants "an egg cup with fake blood". She's adamant that she has seen this advertised on kids tv (probably boomerang). I don't have a clue what she means though! Can anyone shed any light??????

Sure she didn't hear somebody referring to 'an eggcup of blood' as a measure of something gorily gynae? You sometimes hear bloodloss referred to by an eggcup as a measure.

Its not one of those horrible magic trick things is it??

nursenic · 23/11/2011 20:32

'Put out a platter of "eyeballs." Slice some hard boiled eggs in half and remove the yolk. Fill the egg cup with cream cheese and place a green olive with a pimento facing up into the filling. Use some red and blue food coloring and a toothpick to make blood vessels.'

Sure she wasn't watching a halloween kids craft show like this one?

here is the egg cup with blood connected to the eyeball thing??

Does she mean the Gross Magic kit? That's advertised quite a lot on the kids channels at the moment.........?

danielles · 23/11/2011 20:33

She insists it was an advert and yes, I suspect a magic trick or joke (she also wants fake dog poo). She's a pink princess with a dark streak!

Cross-post Gin Grin

Urgh, are you really going to try and get it for her?! In this instance, if she can't tell you what it is then she's too young to have it, IMHO...

danielles · 23/11/2011 20:41

The gross magic kit has got to be it - not sure where the blood comes in but everything else fits. Thanks guys!! 4 years old though, what a freaky child she is...

Hmm, it might be too difficult for her but product says 5yrs plus. In terms of content she will just think its hysterical (same sense of humour as her father)
