We have a very much loved aunt and uncle (DH's) : Like extra grandparents for the DDs. They are now late 70s and have as many knick knacks as they are ever going to need.

Any ideas for something non-expensive but meaningful?

Photo montage dvd?

(it's what I'm trying to get round to doing for mine! Scanning old black and white photos and putting them all together to music etc)

was thinking i've given them loads of photos over the years (of the DDs) but doing one or some of them is a nice idea. will see what MiL has.

Hamper of nice things? Either buy nice things, like brandy, shortbread, preserves, or make your own if broke! Depending on what they like you could put things like nice tea, coffee, hot chocolate etc.

i buy my elderly aunt hampers - one with lots of christmassy treats in like cake, bikkies, nice marmalade, a small bottle of sherry, chocolate....

I usually add a couple of bits, like some new gardening gloves and some pocket seceteurs, some seeds for the garden, maybe a few smellies too.

ARe they still active? last year we bought my PIL one of those experiences, where they got to attend one of the concert in the park types shows in the summer, with a nice picnic hamper. They really loved it. We also bought them a night in a posh B&B experence, which they used when travelling to a family wedding.
