very important question about ribbon.....

So, Christmas wrapping paper colours and themes...

I'm thinking brown kraft paper with black and purple ribbon

Would florist ribbon be too tricky to tie bows with?

Unless you are going to do a fancy bow like the ones on bouquets, I don't think florists ribbon is suitable (and you need to learn the technique!) If you try to tie the florists ribbon it makes an unattractive knot on a conventional bow and creases it badly if you get it wrong, so you can't really untie and do it again.

I think fabric ribbon would be better in this case.

Why don't you buy some pull-bows - they're fab!

My DMum owns a florist wholesalers and they sell them in boxes of 20 (around £4.99 I think for a box), but you can buy them on Ebay in all different colours. They're lovely and the bows look fab.

So much easier than doing your own!

Or does that make me a cheat... Probably!
