I'd like to make some Christmas cards with DS for giving to family - any ideas for something simple and easy?

I know there will be lots of ideas hidden away in threads in Christmas/Arts&Crafts but if I start searching I'll never get off MN and I need to do some exam revision this afternoon!

Footprint as reindeer face and handprints as antlers. Add googly eyes and a pompom nose. Looks fab.. Or cut a green triangle to be a tree and let dc finger print baubles all over it.

do some designs with glue and let him sprinkle the sparkly stuff?

We did that last year mousy - I'm still finding the evil sparkly stuff Grin.

I like the fingerprint ideas Ja9 - I've come across a couple of fingerprint ideas that are quite good. I'd quite like to get some different coloured ink pads for that but not sure of the best place to get them.

snowflakes that he can cut out with safety scissors? using white paper on dark card. and stars in the sky (get from anywhere) clouds (cotton wool), grass on the ground (shredded green paper) to make it more of a picture.

or make a snowman. two balls of cotton wool, one larger than the other, to make head and body. straws for arms, sticky-taped to the card. scrunched up black paper glued on for buttons and eyes. Orange triange for nose. Pom pom for hat with a black horizontal line underneath. Scrap of material glued on for a scarf etc.

When my DDs were young. I used to get my DDs to just do a painting or picture (when really young, random painting in Christmas colours is fine.) Add glitter and mount onto a card. Then place this square onto a feather and mount onto a plain card.

Looks lovely, Child can help with most of it, but doesn't look naff.
