My top 3

  1. A Kitchen Aid
  2. Moroccan hair oil
  3. Downtown Abbey series 1&2 on DVD

I think that this shows that I like baking, I have rubbish hair and read to many MN recommendaions & I watch too much tv Smile

Ooh - I like the Kirchen Aid idea.

Mine are Oakley sunglasses and a Conran knife block from John Lewis, and I have an Amazon wishlist for little bits.

RJRabbit · 29/10/2011 22:52

Sorry - missed the what it says about me bit - um, well, I hope it doesn't say that I need a disguise while I knife someone!

bibbitybobbitybloodyaxe · 29/10/2011 22:55

I don't have a Christmas list. I think what that says about me is:

  1. I am not terribly materialistic
  2. I think its too early to be thinking about Christmas
LaVitaBellissima · 29/10/2011 22:55

Grin RJ I really want a knife set too, I'm thinking Global knives, I look at them every January in Heals, but am always put off by the huge price tag!

I know I will get a voucher for Christmas which I will spend on a couple of bras.

Mine literally have holes in but I just WILL NOT pay real money for blooming bras!

I think Morroccan Hair Oil sounds like a good idea BTW.It's quite expensive so perfect to ask someone else to get it so you don't have to justify the expense.

Also shows how tight I am.Bah Humbug.

LaVitaBellissima · 29/10/2011 22:57

Bibbity Blush I've been thinking about Chistmas for ages and am shamefully materialistic oops

OP posts:
AngryFeet · 29/10/2011 23:01

I was about to say the same bibbity. Xmas is a lovely time. For family and traditions but to me presents are for kids. I don't even want stuff for my birthday (although am grateful for presents I get of course!). I always say no presents for adults at Xmas to save everyone money. Then we just get together for a meal and drinks.

Sorry am I pissing on your chips? Grin

rhondajean · 29/10/2011 23:03

My list is very long and shows that I am ridiculously spoilt.

Or possibly just very optimistic.

gigglepin · 29/10/2011 23:05

nowt.
i LOATH Christmas.
I will hopefully be working throughout the whole season...humbug.

Moblem · 29/10/2011 23:42

I've asked for ...

Tops
Skirts
2 Cds
Moisturiser
Perfume
Photo frames (to put in all my pics of my DDs)

I think my Christmas list shows that I'm a mother! All my money goes on my DDs, so those little every day things that you might take for granted, I never get round to buying so has ended up on my list.

timetosmile · 29/10/2011 23:49

My vague list shows that I never go to any shops except Sainsburys, the camping shop down the road and the garden centre.
Am contemplating whether I just have a fairly straightforward but fulfilled life, or whether I really need to get out more....

rhondajean · 29/10/2011 23:54

I have just helpfully left a £5 off voucher for Babyliss Big Hair on the coffee table for DH...

Dh and I don't really do Christmas presents for each other. Money has always been too tight for that. And family members buy for the children, not us adults.

But, if I had a wishlist, if money was no object then this would be it:

  1. A kitchenaid
  2. A woodburning stove for our living room
  3. A new purse as my old one is as old as ds (12 years) and is falling apart (the zip is broken which does not help my financial situation one bit!)

Which tells me I love baking, like to be toasty by a fire and like to keep my pennies in my purse and not on the street behind me!

joanofarchitrave · 30/10/2011 00:00

My list is: apron, paring knife, the River Cottage cakes book.

This no doubt makes me sound like a domestically obsessed type person.

It actually says 'I am a person who is having people visiting for Christmas who like giving me domestic presents and who have been so generous to me in the past that I need to give them inexpensive present options'.

My real list, for my own purchases if I ever get a proper job, would be: haircut at posh salon, year's supply of laser hair removal appointments, iPod and speakers, iPad, entire boxed set of West Wing (all series) and enough babysitting so that I could watch them. Which I guess makes me vain and shallow. Truth hurts.

PrimaBallerina · 30/10/2011 00:22

bibbity and angryfeet you're both not into Christmas eh?

Yet here you both are on the Christmas thread...

Just admit that you love it and have ridiculously long lists in mind! Grin

I am asking for:
Bare Minerals starter set
Babyliss Big Hair
Moroccan Oil

It just says I spend too much time reading the Style and Beauty threads on MN.

JajasWjolef · 30/10/2011 00:47

God I love Christmas and it's never too early to start making a list [hgrin]!

Lots of books on mine, a hotwater bottle cover and a Fossil bag.

I could put tons more things on but we just don't have the cash. What does it say about me? That I love reading, being warm and you can never have too many handbags [hsmile].

ASuitableGirl · 30/10/2011 05:39

I would like a little torch to put on my keyring.

And a nice candle.

It shows that there is no light at the front door and that I find it annoying to try and open the door in the dark. And that I like candles.

RiffRaffeta · 30/10/2011 09:35

I want a Kipling bag. I also want a Kitchen Aid but no one would ever spend that sort of money on me.

What this says about me? That I need to give DH direction as otherwise I'd get nada or a scarf or something really, really shit. And that no one spends lots of money on me.

ASuitableGirl - I just bought one of these for MIL (in teal though )

PigletJohn · 30/10/2011 10:08

Hmm to me the Kitchen Aid says you are a person who likes expensive, fashionable, showy gadgets. Have I got it wrong?

RiffRaffeta · 30/10/2011 10:15

Yes. I make cakes a lot. I use a handheld £20 whisk, and have done for 3 years now. I have had 2 Kenwood mixers and they are both dead.

I want something reliable I can leave on the worktop that doesn't look ugly. But its never going to happen.

LaVitaBellissima · 30/10/2011 10:26

I won't be getting a kitchen aid either Sad

Unless mumsnet wants to do a product test?

OP posts:
sugarandspiceandallthingsnice · 30/10/2011 10:32

My DH is horrified with me as I want a Lakeland heated airer thingy. That shows that I am sick of having washing strewn round the house that never dries!
He has had a bit of his already - new PC game on steam. We don't buy masses for each other so he will then have a little top up. He is rubbish to buy for because he doesn't like surprises and his birthday is in January! Mind you, got the birthday sorted already.

mamalovebird · 30/10/2011 10:34

I would love:

A Michael Kors watch
New hair straighteners
A proper food processor

Sadly, none of these are likely as we're on an economy drive, so I'll settle for the safe arrival of my 10th niece/nephew and maybe a new bottle of perfume!

tummytickler · 30/10/2011 10:37

On my wish list I have
a car - no chance
a Kindle - no chance
books - maybe
surprises - maybe!

This says I am still a big kid about Christmas, and I want surprises. I also read, and want a Kindle on which to hide the books that I dont want to be seen reading in public!
This also might say I (hopefully) will have jsut passed my driving test and so need a car to drive about in.
