We were all on about pinterest, jars, and where we are up to in our christmas planning :)

Lets go...

addicted - yes, it is all hand-stitched, but I think you could do the last stage (quilting the top layer to the wadding and the backing) on a machine - I know some people have machines that will do fancy patterns for that. But I don't have a machine so the idea was to do something where you'd naturally do most of it by hand anyhow. It is time consuming but not ridiculously so when it's just cot sized.

Did the organizers just get overwhelmed do you think? I am a bit cross on your behalf - it's not really on to get people involved then not do their bit!

addicted you've got me worrying about the one I'll be doing in November - I've only seen small A4 posters in the actual venue - maybe they'll get more later on?

Is this Pinterest? How does it work - I've been resisting but I could be tempted if it's reasonably simple to use (I am an idiot with computers).

Ella that quilt is beautiful! I am in awe, as I could never create something like that (can't even sew a button on ) What a thoughtful gift! I am sure your SIL and Dniece will love it!

Thanks bread! I'm feeling really happy with it now - despite my mum insisting that 'you will get better at it dear, it's only your first try so don't worry'.

I have also found that my lemon vodka that I thought was ruined by the pith in it has soaked up the extra sugar I put in and now tastes good again! Yay!

And I made apple and apricot chutney last night so that is one more thing done. It's very satisfying, this thread, isn't it?! Ive never been so organized.

(Btw, flubba, if you sent the invitation I don't seem to have it ... wretched junk mail filter might have swallowed it I suppose but it's set up so you can't check. [sad)

Oh, that's crappy as I did send it. I can try again - or I'll do something clever.... (and ignore your mum; it's their job to not make us feel as good about ourselves as we should! :o )

Hmm - thought my clever way would be to give you my email address but the invitation comes from pinterest, not me, so it'd be no help.

It's my fault - I didn't realize until just now that the junk mail filter on my university one won't let me check to see what's been rejected (I can't work out why it would reject it anyway!). If I may, I'll PM you my old address which should be fine - I'm so sorry to be a pain.

Um ... because I am anti-social, can anyone tell me rather quickly how to un-follow people?! It set it up linked to my facebook and I seem to be following various people who are the intended recipients of what I'm making - so I really need to become invisible to them!

Ah, ok ... worked it out and stopped panicking. Wow that is counter-intuitive!

May I ask an etiquette question? Do you only post stuff you intend to do, or stuff you have now done? I'm just trying to work it out!

ella i post all the stuff i like and want to save, so it may be this year, it may be next or it may just be for inspiration or something thaqt i know i will never get around to doing but, well, a girl can dream!
