It's the 6th day of Christmas - where have all the carols gone?

It's still the festive season. They were playing carols in October.

I wanna listen to Christmas music. It's still Christmas. We still have presents under the tree. We are still watching the snowman every day...........

I feel the same way! We put on a Christmas cd this afternoon and made all the children sing along!! Grin!

DD comes into our bedroom every morning and sings that day's verse of The 12 Days of Christmas. It's a bizarre but very festive alarm clock.

GrimmaTheNome · 31/12/2010 18:08

My DD is still singing them (not as an alarm clock, although that sounds quite charming!)

Charming isn't necessarily the first adjective that springs to mind.....

Today's verse was at lunchtime.

LOL

I agree completely!

I think it's ridiculous that we are bombarded with Christmas cheer way too early but once it is actually Christmas it all stops on Boxing Day. As you say, there are 12 days of Christmas, but as far as TV/radio land is concerned, there is only 1. Sad. I love Christmas, btw, and am suffering the mother of all Christmas come downs today.

Sad

I agree too. In fact ds and I have several Christmas CDs and tapes, and made sure we played them every day up until today.

Most people take the time off work and celebrate the Christmas holidays until at least 2nd January most years, and generally keep their decorations up until at least New Year's Day, so why stop the carols after Christmas Day?
