Christmas Day dilemma

Ds and I are spending Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at my Mum's house.

For Christmas, he's having a Wii game and a PS2 game (both on his list). He's also getting a mountain of other things from FC, me and the rest of the family.

I'm wondering whether I should take one or other of the consoles so he can try out his new games or let him wait until we get home on Boxing Day.

I also have singstar games which are always entertaining after a few too many drinks aswell as just dance on the wii which is highly amusing to those who are watching also good fun .

I see pros and cons to taking one or neither.

Any opinions?!

Imo, wait til BD, otherwise it can be anti-social for him to be glued to a console. If you do take one for you to play on later, you might have to limit the time he's allowed to play.

Well, the Wii games would be good for everybody to join in with, so that might be a good idea.

I've bought the dds Just Dance and a singing one , so I'm glad to hear that they're fun.

Yes, that was one of the cons. Although, one of the games is DJ Hero (PS2) and might be quite good fun to watch the older family members having a go!

The singing ones are fantastic! I have them for the PS2 but I'm sure the Wii version is as entertaining.

He's 8, there will be 9 of us (ds being the only one under 30yrs!), there are 3 TVs, we'll be there from Christmas Eve until Boxing Day.

Part of me thinks it might be quite useful when everyone (except ds) is ready for a post-Christmas-Dinner-nap - is that wrong?!
