What to put in a stocking for a very nearly one whole entire year old girl?

There's plenty to fill her sisters but I don't have a clue what to put in dd2's! None of the few presents we've bought her will fit in there & I'm stumped after chocolate pennies & some little rattley maracca things I picked up ages ago.

Anyone any ideas for some little bits I could pick up at Asda? Ta Xmas Smile

Notevenamouse · 16/12/2010 14:56

gap has a half price sale. Do you need nice clothing ?

lucysmam · 16/12/2010 14:57

lol spiky, she has the tiniest amount of ginger hair imaginable! No hairslides this year I don't think Xmas Grin

Thank-you for saving the day! I'll pop everything suggested on my shopping list & tot it up as we go, don't want to spend a fortune.

I fear board boks would be eaten very quickly.....she likes chewing on lumps of card and paper But will pop a couple in & see what she does with them

Notevenamouse, I wish we did but no, my best mate has just bought her a lovely little dress for her present & she's still growing into the 9-12 month clothing we have so no point buying more for now

You can probably find a soft cuddly toy at Asda which would be the right size to fill up a lot of a stocking. Or if you have an Ikea nearby they have some really good ones. Things like stacking cups or other toys (the plastic books always went down well with my two) for the bath are good too. And Asda does quite good cheap board books.

Notevenamouse · 16/12/2010 15:07

yay a ginger baby, I had three !

lucysmam · 16/12/2010 15:08

She loves her stacking cups, ones for the bath would be great. We tend to bung both girls in together so they'd both enjoy them.

(I'm actually still genuinely shocked at how nice dd1 is with dd2 sometimes, they share everything near enough*.

Definately no more soft toys though....we could open a soft toy zoo in our house . I remember those books for the bath from when I was little, hadn't even thought of them so will have a look for one of those.

This is great, thank you all so much

oooh how about rubber ducks? I have seen some lovely packs of them, they would fill it up.

lucysmam · 16/12/2010 19:44

Xmas Grin Notevenamouse, she's got the tiniest bit of bright ginger fluff imaginable! Very cute. DD1 is a mucky blonde like I was when I was little.

Rubber ducks going on my list as well

Hopefully I'll not have added too much to my total shop, off to price up what I can online soon.

Thank-you all for the suggestions, it's much appreciated Xmas Smile
