Need a slightly more 'grown up' doctor's kit. Any ideas?

DD (6) has decided she wants a 'real' doctor's kit for Christmas. This is a bit of a relief after wanting a 'real' princess for most of November but actually harder than it sounds.

She is 6, so of course she doesn't want 'real'. But I know what she means: not chunky plastic hammers - more of a realistic stethiscope, blood pressure monitor and prescription pad. I have surfed myself stupid looking but apart from this one which is nice but £44 quid!! I can't find anything that is targeted at the 'older' child.

Any ideas gratefully received. Thank you! Oh and suggestions for best nurses/doctor's dressing up too.

ps. Did think about making one up with real banages etc, but whilst I am happy to 'add' to a toy one, I think a real first aid bag will look too miserable and probably work out quite dear.

Thank you Xmas Smile

Just to add, that was just a quick google search, not a personal recommendation.

That's fab yule log - Makes you think aboutpaying £16 for a plastic one from ELC, doesn't it.

Reading your thread title, I thought perhaps you and your DP were planning a few games of 'Doctors and Nurses' over the festive season!!! Xmas Grin

I've just looked at the one you have linked - you could do this:

Case

Stethoscope and Blood pressure

Mask

Tweezers, syringes cheap from Boots (syringe you may even get for free if you are extra friendly at Pharmacy)

Cheap bandages - Poundland

About £22-25 depending on how many little bits you put in - you can print some prescription thingys yourself.

Fab brilliant - you are all wonderful - thank you!

Yulelog - that 'real' kit is amazing! Add a few bandages and put it in a real case and she's virtually ready to operate - I love it!

Cuppatea sadly, no. I am sure DH would be thrilled if I bought a nurses outfit (although you woudn't think so if you could see him slumped in front of footie at the moment) but not sure how he'd feel about me snapping on the gloves and extracting a scalpel Xmas Grin

Zandy Bingtata - thank you. Great suggestions.
