Do I wrap this individually or leave loose?

My DS1 is getting loads of art stuff for Christmas and I'm not sure if I should just put it all in the storage doodah that I'll be getting and just let him look through all the drawers to see what's in it or if I should wrap all the stuff individually - or if not individually maybe in piles of stuff that 'go' together.

And no, I don't have bigger things to worry about. Xmas Grin

I suppose it depends on the age of your DS, if he is only little then some could be stocking gifts but if he is older( i.e over 11) I would say one big gift, maybe his main one?

He's just turned 6. Stockings already done. Xmas Grin I can't decide if he'll like unwrapping loads of smaller packages or just like rummaging in drawers. Decisions, decisions.

It will be his main present but he'll also have plenty of other small stuff to open so perhaps I should just put it all unwrapped into drawers then or he'll be unwrapping until Christmas dinner! But that could be a blessing lol.Grin

You could maybe wrap somethings within the draws and leave some loose? Bit of both? Sounds like a lovely present. Lucky boy!

drawers* sorry!

SantarissaCripslock · 07/12/2010 00:46

Thank you. Xmas Smile He's such a wee artistic boy - draws from 6am until lunch if we let him! I've been collecting arty stuff all year and I'm so excited to see his face when he sees it. Xmas Grin

I think you've got the perfect idea - wrap some and leave some loose. It'll be fun for him to come unexpectedly upon stuff that needs unwrapped amongst the loose stuff.

Thanks, nextchapter.

That quite alright! Plus it'll make him feel like he has more presents than he actually does which should save you some money!

Ahhh i prepared mummy...wish I was one of those! My DD loves painting atm, so think she will be getting a few painting things...so messy though!

Just as well that I'm prepared (for once lol!) as I'm snowed in! Xmas Grin

I haven't actually let my DS play with paint much as I'm a horrible mummy Wink but have given in and put some paints in his Christmas present. I'm sure to regret it before the new year. Grin

You may, but it wil be worth it when he has so much fun out of them! I always find a good trick is to empty to pots out..."oh no you used it all remember!"

Also a lovely idea that myself and DH did was to give the children some A2 paper and they all had a good old messy paint on it and then we had them framed and put in the family lounge. Just an idea but we love it and its a lovely touch. Plus they always feel proud when the see them!
