Reindeer Food - do people really buy it?

We have a Christmas Fair next week at our community centre and looking for fundraising ideas. Is this just a 'London thing' or does the whole glittery oats thing make any money?

And do you have to have a poem?

Never heard of this before, and probably wouldn't buy it if saw it, just hang carrots from tree on the end of drive - don't want reindeer on roof, knocking of slates, pooping etc... always find they are appreciated by Rudolf and co, well munched by the morning (we have several regularly drunken friends leaving after dinner Xmas eve and they seem to think it is like that Halloween game with apples Grin)

They sell it at our school Christmas fair and it seems to make a profit. The mum who makes it uses bird food with a bit of glitter mixed in. IIRC they charge 50p for a tiny bag which is almost pure profit.

Most of the bird food has usually gone by morning, eaten by birds reindeer no doubt!

Glittery oats makes mullah. Lord knows why. I think it's magic santa dust rather than food, but who knows. Really.

Reindeer food is a carrot.

It's also sold at our school fair and again makes a profit, most families leave with a bagful, as do we!
