'Nice' nativity set

Any idea where I can find a 'nice' nativity set? The only ones I can find are either the chunky childrens' ones or the carved olive wood ones which are a) a bit pricey and b) a bit too 'grown up'. I want one in the middle - something that can be handled by a careful child but is still colourful - eg with fabric clothes.

any help gratefully received!

We've had this one for a few years and it's survived toddlers and enthusiatic children very well - maybe a bit pricy though?

myriadonline.co.uk have nice ones but they are really pricey. if you look under celebrations, should have some there.

There's a wooden nativity cut out for £9.95 on myriad. I do love their stuff and wish i was richer when looking on this site.

The playmobil ones are lovely but if you wait until next year, there is a newer version coming out with a plastic stable instead of cardboard, and a smaller one as well, both are out on the continent and the UK is usually 6 -12 months behind with playmobil.

I think it's good to get a "grown-up" nativity set, albeit a little more expensive, so that it can be used over many years and appreciated at all ages. We have a dark resin one, which our kids have handled carefully since they were tiny. But we also bought the Playmobil one so that they could actually play with the figures and narrate the story themselves. That one doesn't stay up but goes in the box at the end of the day's play.
