I was sent an email about this today. Am thinking about taking DD, aged nearly 4 in December. Anyone been? Any good? It's quite £££! Just wondering if it was worth it?

Come on....someone out there has been to this...please give us the review. I have two kids and it is our first xmas in London. If it is magical, well, then I'll do it.

you could do lapland uk for that price!

DukesOfTripHazard · 25/11/2010 13:06

Just looked at the advert for this on MN. It looks very special but £45 each? even for 2 kids for the price of one that's £90 for me to take both....

GypsyMoth · 25/11/2010 13:10

it looks quite tacky to be honest....and the price?

TheNorthernLight · 03/12/2010 11:10

I went to this a last sat, it was really good!

It is pricey but if your local it's really easy to get too and you get food/drinks included (I live just 10 mins away, so handy for me Grin)

Plus it looks amazing inside with handmade decorations, snow men, Christmas trees etc.

DCs absolutely loved decorating gingerbread men, face painting, puppet show and dressing up too.

I visited the Enchanted Christmas House on Saturday 4th December with my niece.

From the start of our visit we were made to feel very welcome and we loved the refreshments on arrival!

Every part of the Enchanted Christmas House was so wonderful and the theatre sets were amazing and there were so many fabulous activities to take part in.

The play was delightful and all the children seemed to really enjoy it and there was a lot of interaction so all the children participated in the play.

There was so much to do and my niece enjoyed it so much that she said that it was the best place ever and could we come back every day!

I would defiantly recommend it to anyone and would love to go back again!

Yes, i took my children there (age 3.5 and 6) and they really enjoyed it - quite expensive though but they had a great time. I just saw that Cool Mum Hunting www.coolmumhunting.com/swag/the-chance-to-meet-father-xmas are doing a give-away of a family ticket for 4 people so you can try to get that.

I booked for the enchanted house this sunday - easter theme, a month before the event. It took about 3 days to book as the person on the frontline had little to no knowlege about the product - so had to keep going and finding out from someone presumbly higher up in the organisation and then ringing me back.

I finally got a confirmed booking for myself, son, family and friends (a proportionate sum!) as my sons birthday treat only for our booking to be cancelled via voicemail 4 days before the event itself apparently due to 'the weather, and humidity'.

not happy with this explanation and with only 4 days now to find my son and alternative venue, I went down to the London art house in search of a better one, and sat for an hour waiting to speak to someone. I was received by two unapologetic members of staff who promptly told me the REAL reason it was cancelled was due to the lack of bookings. (probably due to crap marketing and extortionate prices!)

they offered us a refund or to reschudele, nothing complimentary and no attempts to reconcile the apparent dissapointment, myself and family as paying customers had. we were then handed a cheque for £100 as a refund - a percentage of what i had paid! only to find they had made another error in confusing me with another customer. i was finally thrust a cheque for the full refund amount and ushered out.

we asked to see the manager, which was refused. even when we suggested making an appointment and coming back at a later date.

they showed a basic lack of courtesy and proffesionalism. a little honesty and crediting us as their customers with some intelligence -i mean event cancelled due to weather?! - not accepting that, unless its a flippin snow blizzard!' would have gone a long way.

they had absolutely no customer care - wish i'd read the other reviews before booking as a lot are saying its not worth the £££! getting my money back seems like a lucky escape.

any one thinking of it - dont waste your time or money go to the park. :)

I wish I head read your post a little earlier TT. They just cancelled me and my entire extended family less than 48 hours before our visit for a birthday celebration due to "insufficient demand".

They did this by email, half an hour before closing, and appear to have gone home without refunding my card as requested (over £200 -- it was supposed to be a very special occasion). Warning bells should have rung out loud, though, when talking to their front-of-house person....

tantrumntrends · 14/09/2011 23:05

yes BillyGoat, v. unprofessional! Hope you and your family got that refund!! x

Well there's two ways of looking at it! One , it's magical for the kids, but the good was something to be desired, humus and meatballs, two, an absolute rip off to pay full price for adults
