HotchpotchHoney · 31/10/2010 15:45

I have a list of things that ds1 would like for christmas but i don;t think a single one is below £40. Does anyone have any ideas for stocking fillers for around the £5-£10 mark?
I have already got the usual suspects such as socks, boxers, pens for school etc.

dvds, books, novelty mug, some lynx aftershave/ gift set (make him feel grown up?)silly little gadgets from the gadget shop, cinema vouchers,

TheNextMrsDracula · 31/10/2010 16:16

Mine is getting a mini manicure set and lots of Lynx because he loves his personal grooming!

notagrannyyet · 31/10/2010 16:21

head phones, chocs, puzzle/logic books and lynx. If he likes modle making I think you can still get those plastic kits for under £10.

definitely tin of lynx, bottle of bodywash, new toothbrush, earphones, chocolate, there are loads of good jokey toys in hawkins bazaar for just a couple of pounds each

At that age I find they don't always want to be too grown up, especially if they have younger siblings. So amongst the Lynx etc a small cuddly animal etc goes down well. My ds would be devastated if he didn't get a Cadbury's Selection Box and a bottle of Matey. Traditions have to be maintained!

DinosaurRumpus · 01/11/2010 14:10

I agree gramercy.
I still try to get my older ones stocking fillers to 'play with' on christmas day.
(It can be a bit tough on the older ones when the younger ones are busy playing with their new toys. They can end up with a nice pile of gifts but nothing to actually do.)

Things that have gone down well recently with my older ones are:
Juggling balls
Catapult aeroplane
Slinky ( for running down the stairs)
Making kits (make your own robot type things)
Magic / prank kits
Tiny remote control car (that can be raced on the dining table)
all of which were less than £5

oh yes you MUST go to the joke shop and buy some plastic dog poo and various other unsociable trick items and of course some stick on side burns!

bellavita · 02/11/2010 15:49

Guinness Book of Records
I-tunes voucher
Lynxy stuff

HotchpotchHoney · 02/11/2010 20:40

my uncle always buys him the Guiness Book of Records, he loves it.
I have a few more ideas now thank you.
