DS2 has loads of Lego, all he wants for Christmas is more Lego (especially star wars!) and some books/audiobooks. Father Christmas will probably bring him some Lego ( I'm not completely mean and DS1 is getting Lego NXT or whatever it's called) but I'm stuck for what else to get him and I know both sets of GP's will ask for suggestions, In laws especially like to get something over the top, so require guidance.

There is a Lego club, it is actually free to join.

The Lego annual seems good, I have bought it for my 6 year old but my 8 year old would have liked it too.

Isn't there a new interactive Lego PC game?

nah, buy more lego.

My DS is 11 now, and still playing with the lego he was bought 3 or 4 years ago, alongside the newer sets.

typewriter is good. I suspect touch typing will be VERY important to our children in the future.

Unless we are all using voice recognition software software by then.
