Personalised Calendars for presents?

With photos of DC on, for both sets of grandparents. Is that a naff idea? know I would love it but they're my DC so I don't mind their gorgeous faces hanging on my wall.

I think that's a lovely idea and I had one of these for my DS's first christmas. It still hangs on my wall 2 years later......

I did these last year - each DC took pride of place on their birthday month page, plus I tried to include photos of the GPs with the DC where I could, and added all family birthdays with a photo (got them from Snapfish)

I did this a few years ago for grandparents and another relative. The following year, I did the same...and the next year...by which time I felt I was running out of good pictures and the children were losing their cuteness. So I announced I would not be doing it again, and all 3 recipients of my calendars begged me to continue So now it seems like a permanent fixture.

It is good from the pov of not having to think what to get these people from year to year, but I have been using Kodak Gallery and I don't think they are exactly cheap. Plus, they messed up the order last year and didn't sort it in time for Christmas so I really need to find another source if anyone has any good ones.

Vista print are pretty cheap and the quality is fine imo. They usually start ad 'free' or '99p' but then there a few charges for colour etc, so I think I normally end up paying about £5 or so. My mother would be devasted if she didn't get hers each year!

This is a great idea, have done it for Grandparents for last few years from the kids. Always a hit and everyone likes to see their pic. I use calendarwizard.co.uk as always very quick.

I used photobox for it this year...they have some vouchers on their homepage which you can use. I have used vista print in the past for photobooks which have gone down very well.

Great if the grandparents use calendars/have a place to hang. Otherwise may languish in drawer.

Like Dumbledoresgirl, I started doing them years ago when my PIL's just had one grandchild.

They now have 8 and I end up starting them in around October and begging for photos off SIL's. I also do them for some of my family. Last year, I ended up doing 15 but I know they are absolutely loved by every one who has them (even if they do take me months and end up costing a bloody fortune ).

Dumbledoresgirl: I agree with dontanswerback and use calendarwizard - good quality. I framed some of the last years pics as good size. You can do diaries too.

Thanks for the suggestions of different companies to try. I will have a look at them all when I get round to doing my calendars.
