Presents for babies

Having finally sat down and made a start on the Christmas master list I have found that I am buying for

4 babies under a year; 5,7,7,9 months

5 babies over a year; 13 months, 14 months, 14 months, 17 months, 20 months

12 children ranging from 2 - 4 years of age - These children are getting a Julia donaldson book each from the book people

So what do I buy the littlies ? :) I don't have lots of money, but feel that I have to acknowledge them as 1, I am buying gifts for other members of their families, 2, I love the little cherubs

So any ideas? :)

M&S have got a 25% off kids toys and books deal this week. I have just bought DS (will be 22 months at Xmas) some little wooden cars and an animal puzzle. Anything like this might be good for the babes - they will all be reaching the age when first puzzles will be possible. The puzzles usually come in nice big boxes - so even though the gift doesn't break the bank it looks nice when wrapped up. The puzzles were around a fiver each. The cars were a bit more (£8.00 I think when reduced) but three in a box so you could always separate them.

For 5 or 7 month olds, stacking rings in Asda are £2 or 3 for £5, absolute bargain.

My DD is 8 months old and doesn't care if toys are cheap or expensive, as long as they are shiny and can be banged against something to make a noise! She's got loads of cheapo toys from Home Bargains, B&M etc

How about one of the 'That's not my...' series of board books or other board books. Lots of places often have 3 for 2 offers.

Just bought a copy of paperbag princess for the 4 year old.

You could consider buying books for all the children, Waterstones do 3 for 2 on childrens books. They have cloth and board books for babies, and the bigger picture story books for toddlers.
