Panto with DS on xmas eve - should I?

I'm really tempted to book us panto tickets for xmas eve. Show starts at 2pm so will pass the afternoon and then home, bath, pjs etc.

Do you think I should book it??

DS is going with school on a trip about a fortnight before so it won't be unfamiliar to him (he has ASD) and I'd really like us to do something memorable together. He has been to panto before a couple of years ago and enjoyed it.

Yes. I take ds every year (to the last performance) and it's lovely, the atmosphere is really nice. We then go home, have supper and a hot chocolate and he goes to bed. It beats watching TV.

Personally I would be too busy on Xmas eve but I have a friend who does this. If you have the time I would go for it! We usually go on New Years Eve & there is a lively atmosphere. I expect Xmas Eve would be even better!

yes! Do it! Its really magical and it means you are not at home fussing about sprouts, you are spending quality time with your child doing something silly and ridiculous. Do make sure you get a glowstick too!

I am one of those saddos overly organised types so wouldn't have other stuff to do or be madly dashing about.

I didn't think of new year's eve - that's a good idea too! Smile

I really like the forest walk idea as me and DS love the outdoors but learning to drive at the moment so not possible - could be one for next year though.

Grin trust me about the glowsticks! Let yourself be a kid again, stuff your face with icecream. And enjoy the endless repeat jokes for weeks afterwards. (oh yes you will)

I do like glowsticks, I always buy them when we go camping (big kid emotion) - will definately buy some. Grin

Good, you'll have a great time.
Ds was asked to be on stage a couple of years ago, he played an inflatable guitar. He's a bit of an actor so you can imagine how funny it was, he'll never forget the applause he recieved. Grin
