We normally spend christmas day with friends and was going to go out but changes to budget mean thats now a no no.

I normally do christmas dinner but will have a newborn and may be recovering from a C-section so need to think of alternitives.

Does anyone have a rough idea how much it costs to have everything delivered ready to bung in the oven?

Don't know in terms of pounds, but I do Christmas for up to 15 members of family and get a turkey crown (not organic - too dear) from M&S and everything else ready made. All I do on the day is work out a timetable of when to put everythingin the oven. In terms of stress, it is worth every penny. In fact I do know that it is less than £100 including Christmas pud but not drinks (but everyone can bring a bottle). Get guests to make or bring puddings too. I should add that I normally make most meals from scratch, but why shouldn't I enjoy the day too?

When you say ready made do you mean from their food ordering menu's?

That what I was thinking of doing, where they deliver it all ready to be put in oven.

I was going to then split the cost between all of us but need a rough price idea before I broach the subject!

Tbh I don't think their prices vary massively from their normal entertaining - range

If you add all you want into your basket it will tot it all up and give you a rough idea

I'm not sure if they deliver - you usually pre order then set a date to collect your food from store (and its absolutely manic as you can imagine!)

I'd budget £30-50 for Turkey Crown
and maybe £100 for the rest...?

How many of you are the? The packs are usually quite large so for veggies you might be better off chosing from the normal in store range not the cataloge IYSWIM.

I have last years food ordering brochure here.
Whole turkey from £25.56 to feed 7-10
Ready-stuffed turkey (sage & onion) serves 5-7, in a roasting bag & already garnished with bacon £32.
Vegetable selection pack serves 4-6 £14.99 (fully prepared roast potatoes, parsnips, baton carrots & sprouts).
Connoisseur veg pack serves 6 £25 - mash, honey roast parsnips, roast potatoes, braised red cabbage, & medley of carrots & sprouts.
Garnish pack £9.99 serves 8 - bacon rolls, cocktail sausages, stuffing balls.
They usually do gravy, bread sauce etc. in store but its not in this brochure I have.
HTH Smile

I bought quite a bit of ready prepared stuff, you save on washing as well as most of it comes in little trays ready to cook
