Guthrie Test

Not so unbelievably (and all too consistently with how crap the system has proved itself in my particular case to be) the midwives have lost my child's Guthrie test - taken when he was seven days old. They've only just admitted this - and they've redone the test at 11 weeks 5 days. Quite apart from how very angry I will be (given that I understand there is scope for irreversible damage to have been done if my child has one of the conditions for which they test and that he has had no treatment for it in the 10 weeks which have elapsed) if the test doesn't come back clear, I'm uncertain how reliable the test is when done so late. Can anyone give me any information about this?
Many thanks for any assistance that anyone can provide.

I only know about one of the conditions it checks for which is PKU
Phenyleketonuria.
The test will show the level of phenylananine in the blood whenever it is taken,
If it is positive about 1 in 100000 babies born will have it, it is treated with a very specialised diet and supplements.
Hope that helps.
