DS' bad baby week...

DS just turned one and this week he has really not been himself. Curious to know if anyone has any ideas what might be causing this or is it just a phase.

The background is that he has been sleeping really badly (for him anyway). It started off last Tuesday with just waking up at 8.30 pm for 10 minutes but last night between 11 and 4 he was awake solidly and cried solidly except for when I was cuddling him.

This morning when we were playing I noticed a load of blood coming out of his mouth. I am assuming this could mean teeth but it was quite a lot. He had a slight fever as well - gave him calpol. Bleeding stopped and he was happy again for a while.

Also, and I am not sure of this is anything but he has been more clingy than usual - desperately trying to cuddle me all the time. I would find it quite sweet that he loved me so much but I can barely make him his meals without him desperately trying to get to me.

Worst of all, although I am sure this is unrelated, is that he has suddenly discovered how to have accidents. Earlier on this week he pulled the CD rack down in our living room and just before I put him down for his nap I was getting dressed and noticed he had managed to break into a can of hairspray and was spraying it. I am a bit worried he has inhaled some. Not sure how much. He seemed okay and only cried when I told him off - but how would I know if he had and how damaging would it be?

DH is on holiday this week and although there are only 28 hours until he gets back I think I might go mad in the meantime. I am feeling really stressed and worried that I am becoming a negligent parent.

sounds like he's coming down with something - get to the GP to get him checked out
