Bramble stings

Does anyone know the best way to relieve the pain from bramble stings?

3 year old DS stood on one today, bare foot and is still whimpering, bless him.

I don't even know if they leave prickles in the skin or if it's just a sting?

Any tips at all please...

Brambles have no sting - they just have jaggy spines which quite often stay stuck in but are easy to pull out.

make sure all the prickes are out, and use tons of aloe gel. I can sympathise, DS fell in a patch a couple of years ago, his whole hand was covered in them, very raw/rough/sore skin for a day or 2.

Thank you! He seems to be okay, just 2 spines I could find and loads of aloe vera. He's just walked around a huge fairground for an hour and half without complaint.

I just wasn't sure what to do, so had to play it by ear. Good to know I got it right
