About a year and a half ago, after a stint at the local pools, my DS developed warts. He had loads and they spread rapidly. I took him to the doctor and after a very traumatic ordeal with him and his nurse holding down my son and removing some of them with a little sharp spoon I put a halt to it as couldnt bear my 3 year olds screams. The doctor said that if I preferred to leave them then they would take a year or two to disappear. He was right as they did but now my 2 1/2 year old has them and I have left them since I dont wish to repeat the doctor ordeal. Unfortunately they are now spread down all around her hips and on the outside area of her fanjo!! I obviously wouldnt dare to try and took to see if they have spread inside the lips!! I am so worried about this and wondered if anyone else has had the same experience with their child. Should I go back to the doctor or just wait it out?

Why wouldn't you look inside?

Seona1973 · 22/06/2010 20:03

sounds like molluscum contagiosum and they will clear up in time. There are a lot of threads on here about things you can do/use to try and get rid of them faster.

i would go back to the GP and check if they are warts, or molloscum as seona says

WIll third the suggestion of molloscum. Lots on here, search the archive

deffo sounds like the little molluscum bastards!

Ds had them in his groin area [wince] but they did not last long, they seemed to go after a while.
