MMR at age 13

Has anyone's child had the MMR as a teenager rather than ayoung child? DD was not given it as a young child due to an egg "sensitivity" at the time but I have since been advised that this is no longer a contra-indication. I have booked her to have the MMR at the beginning of the school holidays.

My ds was 7 when he had his mmr, he did not have it as a young child because he has a severe egg allergy.
I know he is not even near being a teenager but thought you may like to know that it went well with no adverse effects
Hope it goes well.

My mum sent me and my sister for the MMR when I was 15 and she was 17. She was scared we'd go down with mumps during our exams as we hadn't had it.
Can't remember feeling ill with it or anything.

DS2 had what I considered to be a strong reaction to his first MMR. (He came up in a joined-up rash all over his body - looked like he'd been scalded in the bath). So I didn't take him for his second until recently, at the age of 15.

All went well, and there were no adverse reactions at all.

Thanks for these reassuring posts - I want dd to have the rubella anyway (and there is no single rubella available nowadays according to my BIL who is a GP) and I have recently known of cases of mumps and measles in late teenagers/early 20's who got pretty ill.
Not sure if those had the MMR when tiny and it's "worn off" or whether they never had it.
