Prickly Heat- Any tips to help alleviate/ prevent it?

At least I think its prickly heat. I'm not sure though, it could be some sort of allergic reaction.

Some areas have little pinprick spots, some areas are more like welts with some nettle rashy type areas.

Nursery gave her some Piriton and it has eased although is still there.

She is an allergicy child so initially we suspected she has been exposed to one of her known allergens (dairy or eggs) but this is incredibly unlikely. It could be an allergy to another food she has previously been able to tolerate.

It seems to have been worse at nursery and it is blooming hot in there so I can't help but wonder if that might be at least part of the cause.
But would heat rash respond so well to Piriton?

Any help would be gratefully received

what is she wearing?
our nurseyr is roasting - dd was fine as wearing only a woven cotton sundress, crocs and knickers but some children were in nominally 'summery' clothes (cutoff trous, vest, tshirt, socks, trainers) and were obv sweltering

heat rash does respond to Piriton

I know what you mean. She was in a thin dress
