Got a paediatrician appt, what to ask?

I have an appointment for DS in a weeks or so. The GP referred him for various vague symptoms, just wondered if anyone can suggest what to expect or ask about?

He is 17m, and generally thriving in that he is growing and gaining weight, walking/climbing, and communicates but only really got 1-2 words.

But - he gets a lot of infections, lots of ear and chest infections, had d and v 5 times in 5 months, and also refluxy symptoms ie frequently burps sick into his mouth, vomits a little when carried, vomits a little when he bends over. Frequently pukes if he laughs a lot/gets hiccups. Not retching/violent vomiting, more just quietly spews IYKWIM. Lots of dodgy nappies and frequent distended abdomen, especially in evening.
I am suspecting some kind of intolerance but I have no idea what to, there is no obvious pattern TBH.

Any advice would be lovely.

make a diary of symptoms, dates, times etc and take it along.

and don't let them hook onto one specific symptom and ignore the rest.

Will symptoms diary be enough do you think, or food diary too?

Only a food diary would be tricky as DH would not be keen to help (he thinks I am being a bit PFB about it, but I am not. He is the neglected subsequent child anyway)

And how is your foot - what was in it??

Pixie - I did point out to DH that I didn't ask for a referral, I discussed the symptoms with the GP and she offerred to refer him.

I think, because we are both HCPs, we tend to either ignore stuff too much, or leap to expecting the worst, with no sane middle ground

Will definately do a symptom diary for the week or so preceeding the appt, with as much food diary as I can. DS is not looking terribly unwell, he just isn't quite right

Had the appointment today, it went well. The consultant was lovely, has done routine bloods and stool samples, looking to rule stuff out.

Then we will look at seeing a dietitian to try exclusion diet or just adjusting things if seems to be nowt. So what I was hoping for really
