Hi at dentist today he said that dd has 'chalky teetch' back upper molars only (the ones that come in at a later stage).

he did give it a name (hypo plasticity -only not that I've looked it up and its not chalky teeth)

he said only 1 portion of fruit a day and that only at meantimes.

any info on chalky teetch or any tips on how I can get dd to eat 4 portions of veg a day bearing in mind she can now only have 1 fruit

I had a friend in his 20's who had them. His teeth crumbled/broke very easily so he had lots of fillings and that was the reason given to him by his dentist.
I think it may be something to do with the acid/alkaline balance in the makeup of the teeth so avoiding anything corrosive/acidic such as fruits and their juices, and any kind of carbonated stuff would be a good start. I have heard that calcium rich foods and cod liver oil supplements can help but I don't know if there is medical evidence to support it.
