unusual headaches

Has anyone else had this?
DD2 (14) has been suffering for a few months with odd headaches. They are always in the morning and can last all day. Yesterday I had to pick her up from school, seen by school nurse, and she was very pink and white (DD not nurse!)
The headaches seem to be characterised as a throbbing above right eye affecting a quarter of head.
She had a temperature last night which responded to paracetamol.
DH thinks she is playing up, but she loves school, V friendly and hates missing it.
She did have meningitis as a baby so aware and ruled that out.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Have you had her eyes tested?
Hormones?
It's sounds a bit like a migraine, I would go to the Drs.

Oh that's a pain, but a t least you have a diagnosis . Is there any food you think sets it off? I've came off sugar and aspartame in the last four weeks because of constant headaches, I've not had one. I think it was the aspartame.

Hope she gets some relief.

Hi - I know you have a diagnosis but it might be worth thinking about what is called electrostress. Does your daughter have a mobile phone or computer in her bedroom. There is increasing evidence that the electromagnetic frequencies produced by them can be very damaging. Quite a few children are showing symptoms and doctors don't always pick them up. Have a look at this site
wiredchild.org

As a mum it is more than a bit scary. I have bought my 11 year old daughter an electrodot from www.harmonisers.co.uk/ to protect her.

I did quite a bit of research and was quite shocked. There is lots of very concerning research - especially about the dangers for children of phones, wi-fi etc. One professor Dr George Carlos (the mobile phone companies gave him a $28.5 million research grant)says 'there is no safe level of exposure to information carrying radio waves'. I can send you some links if you are worried this might be causing your daughters headaches.

Please let other mums know - it seems all our children might be at risk - I have tried to protect mine by buying one of these electrodots (they were demonstrated at a local event. They don't cost much more than a top up. Good luck!!
